Intern, Human Resources - Talent Acquisition
About the Role
The Talent Acquisition & Human Resources Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting both recruiting and HR initiatives within a fast-paced corporate environment. This role offers exposure to the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, HR operations, and talent management. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and eager to learn about careers in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Responsibilities
- Assist recruiters with sourcing candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, and internal databases.
- Screen resumes and support candidate pipeline management.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates, hiring managers, and recruiting teams.
- Prepare candidate communications, interview confirmations, and follow-up correspondence.
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Assist with recruiting metrics and reporting, including time-to-fill, candidate flow, and hiring activity.
- Participate in recruiting strategy discussions and talent market research.
- Support hiring managers and recruiters throughout the recruitment process.
Human Resources Responsibilities
- Assist with new hire onboarding activities and orientation preparation.
- Support employee lifecycle administration, including personnel file maintenance and HR documentation.
- Help coordinate employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and company events.
- Assist with HR data entry and maintaining employee records in HR systems.
- Support learning and development initiatives, training logistics, and communications.
- Help create HR communications, presentations, and informational materials.
- Assist with internship program coordination and participant engagement activities.
- Support HR projects related to employee experience, culture, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
Administrative & Project Support
- Schedule meetings and manage calendars for recruiting and HR activities.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations for HR leadership.
- Conduct research on industry trends, recruiting best practices, and workforce data.
- Participate in special projects that support the Talent Acquisition and Human Resources teams.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and candidate information.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
- Human Resources
- Business Administration
- Psychology
- Communications
- Organizational Development
- Related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Recruiting, or People Operations.
- Previous leadership experience through school, athletics, student organizations, or volunteer work.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, applicant tracking systems, or HR technologies.
- Experience working in a customer service, administrative, or team-oriented environment.
