As a member of the Strategy & Finance Practice within Forvis Mazars Healthcare Consulting, you will contribute to creative solutions addressing complex strategic and financial challenges faced by providers, payers, and employers in today’s transformative healthcare environment. Responsibilities

  • Perform research and analysis of healthcare trends and challenges
  • Assist in complex reviews, including financial and operational benchmarking and economic analysis
  • Support development of strategic and financial recommendations within financial, organizational, and operational frameworks
  • Develop technical knowledge specific to healthcare consulting and client needs
  • Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, including compiling and assessing large datasets while identifying data concerns
  • Understand engagement processes, key stakeholders, data points, and project scope
  • Prepare client documentation that meets firm and professional standards
  • Collaborate in diverse teams to promote creativity, innovation, and diversity of thought
  • Build cultural awareness and commit to understanding dimensions of diversity
  • Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals across service lines
  • Maintain awareness of the breadth of firm offerings
  • Deliver an Unmatched Client Experience™ through timely and responsive communication

Requirements

  • Pursuing or achieved a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in business, accounting, finance, or healthcare
  • Ability to multi-task and shift attention among multiple projects without loss of accuracy or efficiency
  • Maintain composure and professional demeanor under stressful conditions
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous healthcare experience (organizational involvement, extracurricular activities, or professional experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in or actively pursuing a Masters of Health Administration, Masters of Business Administration, Masters of Accounting, Masters of Finance, or Masters of Public Health with a focus in Healthcare
  • Knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem
  • Prior experience in healthcare settings (health systems, hospitals, physician offices, clinics, consulting)
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and summarizing findings
  • Experience in accounting, finance, and/or business administration
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)
  • Interest in pursuing a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license

Pay

Illinois market salary range: $32 – $35 per hour. Virginia market salary range: $34 – $36 per hour. Salary will be based on experience, education, and skill set. Non-exempt/hourly positions are eligible for overtime pay (1.5x hourly rate for hours worked over 40 in a workweek).
