Intern - Graphic Designer

About the Role

As a Graphic Design Intern you will join a collaborative creative team that brings ideas to life across digital, print, and environmental design. You will contribute to projects that support both employees and the Veterans served by the organization, gaining real‑world experience from brainstorming concepts to preparing final deliverables. Mentorship, constructive feedback, and opportunities to learn industry best practices will help you build your portfolio and sharpen your creative skills while making meaningful contributions to campaigns and company initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design visual assets for digital marketing, print materials, event support, presentations, and internal communications.
• Brainstorm creative concepts and collaborate with designers and project owners to develop engaging visual solutions.
• Assist with the production and organization of design files, ensuring projects are prepared for digital and print delivery.
• Work alongside designers, project owners, and vendors to bring creative ideas from concept through completion.
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand project goals, incorporate feedback, and help keep projects on schedule.
• Learn new design techniques, software, and creative processes while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Pitch in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing polished, high‑quality work.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment while taking ownership of individual projects.
• Open to feedback and view it as an opportunity for improvement.
• Clear communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with co‑workers and stakeholders.
• Organized, able to manage multiple projects, and balance deadlines effectively.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and interest in exploring new creative tools and techniques.
• Portfolio showcasing creativity, design thinking, and technical abilities through classwork, personal projects, freelance work, or previous internships.
