Intern - Government Property

About the role

Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is hiring a Compliance & Government Property Intern at our Marinette, WI Location. Fincantieri Marine Group (FMG) is a subsidiary of Fincantieri S.p.A. with a mission to build, repair, and sustain maritime vessels that proudly supply, service, and defend our nation and the world. Domestic travel may be required.

Essential Functions

• Assist with data entry, transfer and disposition processes, identifying discrepancies or areas of concern, and supporting corrective actions
• Support audits, inspections, data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives related to compliance and government property requirements
• Interact with various departments of the organization to support compliance objectives and ensure accurate accountability of government property
• Other duties may be assigned

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Frequently required to sit and occasionally stand or walk; use hands and arms to grasp, reach and type; stoop or kneel; and speak or hear
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
• Primarily performed in a quiet, climate-controlled environment with minimal exposure to moving equipment, elements, or risk of injury
• When entering the shipyard, there may be exposure to moving equipment, elements, or risk of injury
