Intern - Geology / Exploration

We are offering a 3-month internship opportunity in Geology / Exploration in Rio Tinto Exploration based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to a range of activities taken on by the Geology team such as field geologic mapping, core logging, sampling and data analysis, and geologic modelling.
• Be involved in a dynamic team and operation that will allow you to be exposed to and gain valuable hands-on experience to greenfields exploration projects in the United States.

Requirements

• At least one year completed in a Geology/Geoscience program or other related field
• Leadership skills, eagerness to learn and ready for the challenge ahead
• Flexibility and autonomy
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Registered student at a recognized American university
• Right to work full-time in the United States
• Valid Driver’s license
