Summary
This is a year-round, part-time internship. Intern will support Research Scientists with the development of experimental formulations on the bench and pilot scale. Intern will gain hands-on work experience in microbial biopesticide formulation and analytical techniques. Start date for internship is immediately.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Process formulations using overhead mixing, spray drying, extrusion, and fluidized bed drying.
- Conduct compatibility, stability, and physical properties testing on experimental formulations.
- Plan and execute experimental work for assigned mini projects.
- Document and maintain legible, accurate, and complete laboratory records.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Wet lab and analytical equipment experience preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail, enthusiasm to learn, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift 40 lb.
