Intern, Finance (Summer 2027)
Overview
The Finance Department is seeking summer interns with interest in joining the full-time Rotational Finance Development Program (FDP) upon graduation. Summer interns are placed within the Finance organization in areas such as Treasury, Internal Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, Operational Finance, Investor Relations, Fuel Management, and Division Controllership. Over the course of the summer, interns will join a Finance team where they may work on existing projects or take individual ownership of a project, including data gathering, comprehensive analysis, and preparation of findings, solutions, and recommendations for senior leaders. Delta's Finance team plays a critical role in shaping strategic decisions and driving the long-term financial success of the airline. Finance interns receive focused attention to help grow their interdepartmental network as well as professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Work on existing projects or take individual ownership of a project
- Perform data gathering and comprehensive analysis
- Prepare findings, solutions, and recommendations for senior leaders
Qualifications
- Rising senior in an undergraduate program with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or another analytical discipline
- Graduation date of December 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028
- Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution
- At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
- Able to work full-time during the Summer 2027 semester (cannot actively take any courses, inclusive of online or in-person, while working as an Intern—may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters)
- Able to work onsite in Atlanta, GA for the duration of the internship
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
- High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
- At least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
