Intern - Finance & Risk Management
Job Description Summary
Pima County’s Department of Finance & Risk Management is seeking a dynamic, motivated part-time intern to join their Grants Finance Division.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment supporting grant financial activities for County departments. This internship offers hands-on experience with grant budgeting, financial reporting, data analysis, and compliance support, as well as exposure to County financial systems and processes.
Responsibilities
- Extract and analyze data using tools such as Excel and other financial systems
- Assist with grant financial activities including budgeting, reporting, and compliance support
- Gain insight into the full lifecycle of grant financial management
Requirements
Recent graduate from or currently a sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, business analytics, or a closely related field. Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application.

- Recently graduated or is currently a Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or closely related field
Skills
Strong analytical skills and an interest in public sector finance and grant administration.
Benefits
This classification is in the unclassified service and is exempt from the Pima County Merit System Rules. The internship position is in-person and in-office.
Pay
Hiring Range is $17.04 - $23.02 per hour.
Schedule
The internship is part-time.
