About the Role

The Finance Intern opportunity focuses on government reimbursement, revenue analysis, and related financial functions within a dynamic, multi-state healthcare organization. This role offers valuable exposure to the complexities of the healthcare system's financial management across Baptist’s organization in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and research related to patient accounts to ensure proper accounting
• Support for external governmental report filings
• Projects involving gathering data to make appropriate month-end closing entries
• Projects dealing with revenue optimization
• Completes assigned goals

Requirements

• Be working towards a Degree in Accounting with substantial coursework completed or be a Graduate Student with an Accounting Degree (some upper-division coursework)
• Proficient in spreadsheets and other software/technology solutions
