Job Purpose
Join Sony Music Publishing and the Film and TV group as an Intern. Learn from the largest music publisher in the world by driving the accuracy and effectiveness of business practices in the department.
What You’ll Do
- Enter FILM, TV, PROMO, TRAILER, and VIDEO GAMES sync quotes into the SMP licensing database
- Aid in the preparation of sync licenses
- Research song ownership, restrictions, and sync licensing history
- Collaborate on different themed playlists, decades playlist and others, as needed
- Research upcoming releases for FILM, TV, and VIDEO GAMES
- Work on various projects focused on creative sync and clearance, as needed
Who You Are
- Currently enrolled in a college or university
- Ideal candidate will have work experience in the music/entertainment industry OR is enrolled in a music-industry related program
- Passionate about the music and entertainment business, and have a desire to build a career in the industry
- Able to adapt quickly to a changing environment with minimal disruption
- An excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and senior management
- You are hungry to learn and grow. You are curious, ask questions and get excited about new projects
- A highly organized person that pays close attention to the details
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- 7.5-hour business workday

- The anticipated base hourly for this position is $18. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.
