About the role

Halff is actively seeking an Intern for our Environmental team in our Dallas, TX office. The Internship will begin on June 7th, 2027, and conclude on August 13th, 2027. Interns are paid hourly and work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday through Friday. Halff does not pay for or provide housing for Internships.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, natural resources management, or related field
  • Pursuing a master’s degree is a bonus
  • Great communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS, CADD and/or GPS technology is a plus
  • Excellent research, analytical, and written and oral communication skills
  • Positive attitude, initiative, and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams

  • Electric transmission line routing studies and expert testimony
  • GIS geodatabase development
  • Environmental constraints mapping/analysis
  • National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation services
  • Public involvement
  • Threatened/endangered species surveys and relocation
  • Wetland delineation and Section 404/10 permitting and mitigation
