Intern - Engineering, Interconnection & Grid Analysis Administration

About the role

We are recruiting for multiple interns in the Interconnection & Grid Analysis Administration department that will ultimately fill roles in the following areas of ERCOT: Large Generation Integration, Operations Stability Support, Dynamic Studies System Planning, and Dynamic Studies Interconnection.

Education

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering preferably with a focus on Power Systems, Computer and Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
• Enrolled in an academic bachelors or post graduate degree program maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Preferred Experience

• Experience with building software and coding in any of the following languages: C#, Java, or Python
• Familiarity with database querying using SQL
• Experience with power systems analysis

Schedule

• Full-time internship for Summer 2027
• Program runs from the start of June through the second week of August
• Work location: Taylor, TX (on-site at minimum 2 days per week, or more as needed based on business needs)
