Intern - Engineering, Commercial Operations

About the Role

ERCOT is recruiting for multiple interns in the Commercial Operations department that will ultimately fill roles in the following areas: Market Analysis, Market Validation, Congestion Revenue Rights, Wholesale Market Operations, and Market Intelligence & Strategy.

Education Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably with a focus on Power Systems), Computer and Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus in Economics
• Enrolled in an academic bachelor's or post-graduate degree program
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Preferred Experience

• Experience with building software and coding in C#, Java, or Python
• Familiarity with database querying using SQL
• Experience with power systems analysis

Schedule & Location

• Full-time internship for Summer 2027
• Program runs from the start of June through the second week of August
• Work location: Taylor, TX
• Interns required to be on-site in Taylor, TX at minimum 2 days per week, or more as needed based on business needs
