About the role
This internship will provide quality experience with learning and utilization of NDDOT plans and specifications while working on construction projects. Applicants will have the opportunity to gain experience in materials testing, construction surveying, and construction inspection. You will be testing materials such as aggregate, hot mix asphalt, concrete, and soils to ensure that the materials meet NDDOT specifications.
Responsibilities
- Learn and utilize NDDOT plans and specifications on construction projects
- Gain experience in materials testing
- Gain experience in construction surveying
- Gain experience in construction inspection
- Test materials such as aggregate, hot mix asphalt, concrete, and soils to ensure compliance with NDDOT specifications
Requirements
- Enrolled in an engineering technology, civil/construction engineering or similar undergraduate degree program
- Ability to lift and carry a total weight of up to 50 pounds
- Possession of a valid Class D Driver License for travel within the state of North Dakota
- Satisfactory completion of the interview process
- Successful completion of a job function screening
