Intern Engineer Undergraduate

About the role
As an Undergraduate Engineering Intern, you will support engineering-related projects or processes under general or minimal supervision. This role provides experience and familiarization with engineering processes, independent thinking, and company practices and policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned work to accomplish project goals.
- Assist with analyzing data and produce reports or summaries as necessary.
- Communicate frequently with coworkers, customers, or vendors to discuss information or issues related to material properties and clarify or obtain additional detailed information.
- Assist in developing solutions to routine and non-routine problems of intermediate complexity; interpret, execute, and recommend modifications to operating policies where appropriate.
- Apply expanded engineering concepts and skills, while further developing these skills.
- Assist in accurate data entry into computer databases or company files.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in engineering, physical science, or life science discipline.
- No prior experience required.
Skills
- Expanded knowledge of engineering or scientific processes.
- Ability to apply complex engineering or scientific concepts to support department or company projects.
- Ability to analyze problems, contribute to decisions, and assist in designing and implementing solutions for intermediate to advanced engineering or scientific issues.
- Proficiency in relevant PC software applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- General labor environment: use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, hand/finger dexterity.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds or transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.

Pay
Target hourly pay range: $33.00.
