Intern Diesel Mechanic (Paid)

As a Service Technician Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience with a diverse range of equipment and learn essential maintenance and operational skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn about various types of equipment and their applications
• Perform both manual and maintenance tasks to support branch operations
• Provide labor assistance to seasoned mechanics
• Improve and challenge yourself daily
• Work towards becoming a service technician upon completion of degree/certification
• Provide exceptional customer service to our customers

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Pursuing technical degree or certification
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Strong mechanical aptitude with foundational knowledge of tools and equipment
• Self-motivated with a strong drive and sense of urgency
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills

Pay

The actual pay rate offered to candidates varies depending upon a wide range of factors including specific position, location, education, training, experience, skills, and ability.

Schedule

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Currently in or receiving certification from a Technical school or program. Must have a current valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and a strong mechanical aptitude with foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.

Self-motivated with a strong drive and sense of urgency, superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
