Internship Overview
Time Commitment: 20-25 hours per week
Internship Duration: 9/8/26-12/11/26
Location: In office position in San Antonio, TX or the immediate surrounding area
Salary: $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities
Assisting with the development and implementation of fundraising activities, logistics, and administrative support for the San Antonio market.
Working with Development Coordinators, Development Directors, and Market Leadership to support the Heart Walk, Go Red for Women, and Heart Ball fundraising campaigns.
Executing external calls and emails to donors, volunteers, and 3rd party vendors.
Using event support systems such as Luminate and Tableau to help manage data entry and run reports.
Developing and updating marketing materials for campaigns, including save the dates, invitations, social media posts, volunteer rosters, and other needed collateral to assist in campaign promotion.
Aiding in volunteer management, including prepping for and attending externally facing meetings (both in-person and virtual).
Conducting prospect research to generate new leads and compile information for fundraising campaigns.
Supporting community impact events such as pop-up produce events and hands-only CPR demonstrations.
Qualifications
Candidates who are seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in business, marketing, event planning, public relations, or a related field are preferred.
Experience with public speaking and engaging with the community in group settings and 1 on 1.
Must be comfortable with vendor outreach (phone calls & emails to vendors & donors).
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Experience/interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising.
Experience with event planning for a non-profit or for-profit organization.
Demonstrated skills in effective one-on-one and group communications and comfort with working professionally with all levels of community leaders, volunteers, and staff.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.
Intermediate to excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Canva.
Must have reliable transportation.
