Intern - Credit & Finance

About the role

Our goal is to create a program that is an excellent learning experience for anyone interested in accounting, finance or general management in the agronomy, general agriculture, precision agriculture and/or sales industry between the months of May and August. The internship will be tailored to the interests of the intern and experience level to maximize the learning experience. It will be an opportunity to earn money while having more than just an average summer internship. This program will also allow Keystone Cooperative to evaluate potential employees and develop a talent pool in which to hire from in an increasingly competitive job market. Interns will receive hands‑on, real‑world working experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with the corporate credit and finance department to assist in various functions.
• Apply understanding of balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and accrual accounting.
• Manage accounts receivable aging and write‑offs.
• Attend meetings with staff as necessary.
• Develop firsthand understanding of the processes and procedures required to support the finance and credit needs of a large cooperative.
• Gain exposure to financial collaboration and conversations with sales staff and grower customers.
• Participate in the input financing underwriting process, including financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Experience with Excel and other financial platforms such as fintech solutions, digital platforms, and digital wallets.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
