SUMMER INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW: The Hanover’s Internship Program provides college students with the opportunity to work on a variety of critical business assignments, test your skills, use your academic knowledge, and match your interests to a real job. Through the 10-week summer program (June – mid August), You will: Take on meaningful projects and work alongside some of the very best talent in the industryBe supported and mentored by a community of exceptional talent (leaders, managers, subject matter experts and recent graduates) Participate in a cross-functional team building project focused on corporate philanthropyAttend weekly development workshops with your intern peersJoin in engagement and social activities with other interns We recruit highly skilled students for potential future full-time employment opportunities, upon graduation. Our Compliance and Ethics team, a division of the Office of General Counsel, is seeking exceptional college students for our Summer Internship Program, which provides meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as rewarding career path options. Compliance professionals play a pivotal role in ensuring companies and organizations operate in full compliance with legal regulations and industry-specific guidelines. They also monitor internal policies and bylaws. In the event of regulatory risks or misconduct, compliance officers address concerns and find solutions to these challenges. The growing demand for compliance jobs reflects the increasing regulatory environment and the need for organizations to demonstrate ethical practices. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: Provide a wide range of support on various compliance-related functions in partnership with various members of the Compliance and Ethics teamLeverage visualization tools to prepare reports for Compliance leadership and various internal departmentsParticipate in special projects as requestedDesign and implement solutions to move manual processes to automated and repeatable Compliance processesProvide timely and accurate analytical support to the team, ensuring results are validated and accurateParticipate in the development of innovative solutions to use existing information to its fullest potentialAssist in developing tools, processes, and reporting analytics in support of business growth and needsCreate and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferredAbility to commit to a full time 10-week internship programAbility to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future0-2 years of professional working experienceStrong analytical, verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize while remaining focused and organizedCuriosity and willingness to learn a variety of different functions and projects.Understanding of commonly employed techniques for quantitative analysisAbility to work independently with guidance and direction as appropriateAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliar with database conceptsBasic understanding and usage of Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Microsoft SuiteBasic level of programming in any of the following: SAS, SQL, VBA, R, PYTHON or JAVA.
