Intern - Commercial Optimization & Scheduling

Energy Transfer is a master limited partnership that owns and operates one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States, including approximately 120,000 miles of pipelines and related facilities. The Commercial Department is seeking a dynamic, personable, and professional intern for the summer of 2027 at three locations: San Antonio, Dallas, and Oklahoma City.

Schedule

Summer internship program beginning in May 2027. Candidates must be enrolled in college during the program.

Responsibilities

• Maintain historical pricing and forward‑curve spreadsheets for customers and internal use.
• Learn basic principles of gathering and processing rich gas volumes.
• Work closely with Gas Control and field representatives to ensure accurate flows.
• Update maps and category systems for all major pipelines.
• Assist scheduling with daily nominations and confirmations.
• Monitor the maintenance calendar and communicate upcoming impacts internally and externally.
• Update contacts and help establish relationships with third parties.
• True‑up data across several workbooks.
• Support scheduling by coordinating new contracts or meter‑point additions with the contracts team.
• Provide analytical data from a multitude of system applications.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college, majoring in Energy Commerce or a business‑related program.
• Strong computer skills; advanced Excel proficiency preferred.
• Willingness to learn and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities.
• Organizational skills to perform and prioritize various functions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player who can work effectively with a diverse workforce and across multiple organizational levels.
