Intern - Commercial Optimization & Scheduling

About the role

Energy Transfer is a master limited partnership that owns and operates one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States, with approximately 120,000 miles of natural gas, crude oil, refined products, and natural gas liquids pipelines, terminals, and acquisition and marketing assets used to facilitate the purchase and sale of crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and refined products. The Commercial Department is seeking a dynamic, personable, and professional Intern for the summer of 2027 in Oklahoma City. The internship program starts in May 2027, and candidates must be enrolled in college during the program.

Responsibilities

• Maintain historical pricing and forward curves spreadsheets for customers and internally
• Learn the basic principals involved in Gathering & Processing rich gas volumes
• Work closely with Gas Control and Field representatives to ensure accurate flows
• Update maps and category systems for all major pipelines
• Assist scheduling with daily nominations and confirmations
• Monitor Maintenance Calendar and communicate upcoming impact both internally and externally
• Assist with updating contacts and help establish relationships with third parties
• True up data across several workbooks
• Assist scheduling by coordinating new contracts or meter point additions with contracts team
• Provide analytical data from a multitude of system application

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college majoring in Energy Commerce or a Business related program
• Strong computer and advanced Excel skills preferred
• Strong willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
• Ability to organize, perform and prioritize various functions in a fast paced environment
• Team player, able to work effectively with a diverse workforce and with various levels within the organization
