Intern, Civil/Structural Engineering

About the role

Contech Engineered Solutions is looking for an Engineering Intern to join our team in West Chester, Ohio in the Spring, 2027 semester. As an intern, you will work closely with our design team, play a consultative role, and support our field marketing team to build relationships with civil engineering clients while contributing to commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department design engineers to present project-specific solutions to clients and provide quality designs and advice to secure and integrate products on site plans.
• Assist in the creation of engineering designs and plans under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and timely project completion.
• Provide support for submittals, production, and product delivery.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and quality (may be required).
• Maintain engineering standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program; Civil preferred.
• Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, database management software, and basic CAD.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
