About the role

Volvo Trucks North America is seeking a Marketing Communication & Exhibitions Intern to support their marketing and communication efforts. The ideal candidate will gain experience in various aspects of marketing and exhibitions.

Responsibilities

  • Support in event coordination of all major VTNA events, including trade shows, media events, dealer, customer, and sales team events, and product launch events.
  • Aid in cross-functional communication between departments and business areas of Volvo to support deliverables and timelines for events and supporting staff.
  • Create and manage Operating Program Requests and event budget tracking documents.
  • Manage merchandise needs for events, track inventory status, and organize routine tasks.
  • Compile information and write a weekly newsletter for Volvo Truck's dealers.
  • Utilize platforms like Cvent, Microsoft Forms, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in academic courses pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Must have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship.
  • Must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75/4.0.
  • Can work up to 30 hours per week during the fall internship period.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Based in Greensboro, NC.

  • Accountable & Reliable – Demonstrates ownership, dependability, and strong follow-through.

Benefits

The hourly range for this position is $17.00 - $46.00, determined by factors including geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study. Additionally, interns and co-ops receive housing assistance, career opportunities, training and personal development, and other benefits.

Schedule

Interns can work up to 30 hours per week during the fall internship period.
