About the role

Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Business Development Intern to be based out of our Irvine, CA location. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible with an end date in August or September pending the academic schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
• Admin support for BD department
• Data entry
• Market research

Requirements

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, English or related field with the intent to continue enrollment after an internship.
• Must have completed 2 years of study
• A university student that has more than one year of school remaining before earning a degree preferred, typically Freshmen, Sophomores, or Juniors in university.
• Successful Interns may be eligible to return for additional internships
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office
• Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail
• Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders
• Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

Benefits

• Salary range: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience and/or education
• Housing Stipend is available to those who qualify
