Intern, Applied Technologies (Summer 2027)

The Role

This is a summer internship opportunity in Norwood, MA from June 7, 2027 - August 20, 2026. Applicants must be available for the entire duration of the internship. Start date will be June 7, 2027.

About the role

Moderna's Applied Technologies team develops and deploys innovative automation, robotics, and digital solutions that enable faster, more reliable, and more scalable scientific and technical workflows. As an Applied Technologies Intern, you will work alongside engineers and scientists to support these efforts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and testing of automation tools
• Contribute to the design and implementation of robotic systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve scientific workflows
• Support data analysis and interpretation to inform product development

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant STEM field at an accredited university
• Strong interest in applied technologies and automation
• Basic proficiency in Python or similar programming language
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Qualifications

• High academic standing
• Experience with automation or robotics (preferred)
• Interest in biotechnology or life sciences (preferred)
