Intern - Application Engineer
Summer Internship Overview
The Hanover’s Internship Program provides college students with the opportunity to work on a variety of critical business assignments, test their skills, use their academic knowledge, and match their interests to a real job. Through the 10-week summer program (June – mid August), interns will:
- Take on meaningful projects and work alongside some of the very best talent in the industry
- Be supported and mentored by a community of exceptional talent (leaders, managers, subject matter experts and recent graduates)
- Participate in a cross-functional team building project focused on corporate philanthropy
- Attend weekly development workshops with their intern peers
- Join in engagement and social activities with other interns
We recruit highly skilled students for potential future full-time employment opportunities, upon graduation. Our Technology team is seeking exceptional college students for our Summer Internship Program, which provides meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as rewarding career path options.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assist in software development using languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Gain hands-on experience with Generative AI frameworks
- Understand GenAI patterns such as RAG, Vector Databases
- Integrate GenAI models, including REST APIs, microservices, or cloud-native architectures
- Work closely with senior developers and mentors to research, design, and implement web technologies
- Understand our users' end-to-end experience, and find ways to enhance it
- Adhere to all quality standards and procedures
- Collaborate with project team members during development process
- Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer
Requirements
To apply, candidates must:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
- Able to commit to a full-time 10-week internship program
- Able to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Have a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software background
- Have experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and other front-end technologies (an additional benefit)
- Have experience in prompt engineering
- Have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps tools (ex: MLflow, Kubeblow) (a plus)

The target hiring range for this role may vary based on geographic location and other factors, including merit or performance, demonstrated proficiency, skills for the role, education, travel requirements, and experience.

The Hanover’s Summer Internship Program runs from June through mid-August, consisting of a 10-week period.
