About the role
The Hanover’s Summer Internship Program provides college students with the opportunity to work on critical business assignments, test skills, apply academic knowledge, and match interests to real-world projects. This 10-week program (June – mid August) offers:

We recruit highly skilled students for potential future full-time employment opportunities upon graduation. The Actuarial team is seeking exceptional college students for this internship, which provides opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform mathematical and quantitative tasks using established procedures
- Learn fundamental actuarial concepts, practices, and procedures
- Become familiar with company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies
- Utilize actuarial tools and modeling software for pricing, valuation, and risk management
- Analyze industry trends to assess impact on financials, reserves, and pricing processes
- Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership summarizing summer accomplishments
Requirements
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
- Ability to commit to a full-time 10-week internship program (June – mid August)
- Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- 0–2 years of professional working experience
- Understanding of fundamental analytical concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
- High degree of self-motivation and attention to detail
- Intellectual curiosity and creativity
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and SQL
Bonus points for experience with R, Python, and Power BI.
