About the role
This internship offers the opportunity to gain work experience in accounting prior to graduating. You will be an integral part of our Accounting team, assisting with general accounting and administrative support duties for various specialties including accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting. This position is full-time in the office and provides a moderate degree of independence, with frequent meetings with supervisors to review the status and progress of assignments.
Responsibilities

- Assist the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborate with others to support short- and long-term goals.
- Handle department-assigned projects, meet deadlines, and complete sub-tasks.
- Participate in meetings with supervisors to review work status and progress.
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent plus enrollment in a college or university two- or four-year degree program, an accredited vocational institution, or a graduate program.
- Completed at least one college-level accounting course (preferred).

- Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing, reaching, flexibility, body movement (bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, and prolonged sitting).
- Ability to lift and move objects, patients, and/or equipment weighing 10 to 25 pounds.

Schedule
This is a full-time, in-office position. Work is typically indoors and sedentary, subject to schedule changes and variable work hours, with occasional travel as needed.

- 500/505 Building or Remote Work: Typically indoors and sedentary. Noise level is usually moderate.
- PACE: Typically indoors in a clinical setting serving the frail and elderly. Noise level may be moderate to loud, with potential exposure to harmful or hazardous environmental conditions.
