Intermodal Dispatcher

About the role

The Intermodal Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the movement of goods across various transportation modes. This includes managing schedules, communicating with carriers, and ensuring timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize intermodal shipping routes
• Communicate with carriers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor and adjust schedules based on real-time data
• Resolve discrepancies and issues related to transportation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics or transportation management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Qualifications

• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS)
• Knowledge of intermodal shipping processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Skills

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Good understanding of supply chain concepts
• Experience with project management tools

Pay

• $50,000 - $60,000 annually

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
