Intermediate Software Engineer - POS Software Engineering 2

About the role

The Intermediate Software Engineer will work on a highly complex, fast-paced, cross-platform effort with varying technology solutions (infrastructure, software, middleware, etc.). The role involves contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, robust, and secure solutions that enhance the cloud platform supporting Point-of-Sale applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications for the cloud platform supporting Point-of-Sale applications, ensuring performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with business analysts and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement new features and functionalities to enhance the capabilities of the cloud platform supporting Point-of-Sale applications.
• Aid in production installs, pilot monitoring, and problem determination.
• Work closely with quality assurance and testers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free software solutions that will enhance the system.
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies that may be applied to the cloud platform supporting Point-of-Sale applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs
• 3+ years of experience with Git code management and CI/CD tools
• 3+ years of experience with Data storage technologies (such as SQL server)
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET/Core, C#
• 2+ years of enterprise level Angular or REACT front end experience
• 2+ years of Azure application Development Experience with Agile software development cycles

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience with designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level applications
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs and Windows services
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET Core, C#, Python, XML/JSON, XSLT, YAML, and PowerShell
• 4+ years of experience with Git code management, DevOps Integration, DevOps Pipelines, or other CI/CD tools
• 4+ years’ experience with Data storage technologies (such as SQL server and SQLite)
• 3+ years of experience with Agile software development cycles
• 3+ years of experience with Application Development in Azure
• Experience and knowledge of container-based applications in Docker
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging service such as MSMQ or Rabbit MQ
• Experience in AI development using ML.NET

Skills

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle
• Proficiency in REST APIs, Git, CI/CD tools, Data storage technologies, Microsoft .NET Core, C#, Angular, REACT, Azure, and Agile methodologies
• Experience with AI development using ML.NET
