What You’ll Do

  • Affords assistance with specific activities, routines, and/or games for all participants
  • Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program
  • Manages all equipment to ensure safety
  • Maintains a clean and risk-free environment
  • Ensures all children are picked up by a parent
  • Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referring to appropriate person
  • Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be 15 years of age or older
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills
  • Prior knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in program area
  • Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
  • Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to plan, lead, and participate in classes and activities
  • Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
