Responsibilities
- Designing and presenting concepts to team for review.
- Specifying and sourcing materials, lighting, hardware, appliances, fixtures and furniture for projects.
- Designing and overseeing custom millwork and furniture pieces.
- Creating graphics and visual presentations.
- Creation of project documentation including full construction document sets.
- Interior construction and millwork detailing is a must.
- Work closely and communicate with firm principals and report project status.
- Communicate and coordinate with outside consultants and vendors.
- Attend regular site visits at key stages.
- Aid with FF&E installs.
- Update and maintain material library and schedule and coordinate vendor meetings.
- Proactive approach and ability to meet project timelines and client expectations.
Requirements
- 3-7 years professional experience.
- Experience in NYC multi-family residential preferred.
- Excellent presentation skills including generation of presentations and articulating design information to clients.
- Basic knowledge of current building codes and ADA requirements.
- Strong communication, organization and time management skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Self-motivated and ability to multi-task in fast-paced, dynamic and creative environment.
- Knowledge of local and online showrooms and resources as well as industry trends.
- Proficiency in writing specifications and reviewing of shop drawings and submittals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
Skills
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD.
- Highly proficient in Revit.
- Highly proficient in Enscape.
- Highly proficient in Sketch-up.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
