About the Team

Join the controllership function of a large, multi-billion-dollar organization. Work within an established accounting team of approximately 12 to 13 professionals. Partner closely with accounting directors and leadership throughout month-end close and audit cycles. Join a team focused on strengthening processes, increasing efficiency, and continuing to improve the speed of the close. Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements through journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Own recurring general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations while identifying discrepancies and driving corrections
• Support fixed assets, prepaid expenses, reserves, estimates, intercompany activity, and recurring financial reporting
• Assist leadership with quarterly reviews, year-end audits, and ad hoc financial analysis
• Help the organization continue improving its month-end close process by identifying redundant tasks and opportunities for greater efficiency
• Bring curiosity and ownership to the role by asking questions, digging into variances, and understanding the accounting behind the numbers

Requirements

• 2 to 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong foundation in journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, balance sheet accounting, and month-end close
• Public accounting experience is preferred but not required; strong corporate accounting experience is equally relevant
• Experience with a large ERP such as Oracle, SAP, or Dynamics 365 preferred
• Strong Excel capabilities
• CPA or progress toward a CPA is a plus but not required
• Initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine desire to learn and take ownership
