Interiors Lead

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with technical data, FAA regulations, and Ascent Aviation policies.
• Works closely with supervisor and Production Control to update progress.
• Reviews non-preplanned documents for repairs and replacements, estimating costs.
• Documents parts removal and identifies necessary tools and materials.
• Executes maintenance tasks including disassembly, repair, cleaning, and testing.
• Installs cabin interiors and related equipment according to specifications.
• Measures, marks, trims, and fits parts as needed.
• Fabricates and installs structural devices as required.
• Tests and reworks installations as necessary.
• Trains new employees and maintains training records.
• Maintains communication and resolves work-related issues.
• Tracks and logs time worked accurately.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and mathematical proficiency.
• Safe driving and operation of vehicles.
• Independent or supervised work ability.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.

Education and Experience

• 3-5 years of aircraft experience.
• Preferred: Repairman’s Certificate for Interiors and Related Structures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and reaching.
• Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Equipment Operated

• Protective equipment: Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, apron, gloves, safety harness, breathing equipment.

Working Conditions

• Aircraft maintenance hangars, flightline, and Avionics shop.
• Potential hazards: High intensity noise levels, extreme temperature changes, electrical charges, radar waves, hazardous materials, moving machinery.

Other Duties

• May work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations.
