Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with technical data, FAA regulations, and Ascent Aviation policies.
- Works closely with supervisor and Production Control to update progress.
- Reviews non-preplanned documents for repairs and replacements, estimating costs.
- Documents parts removal and identifies necessary tools and materials.
- Executes maintenance tasks including disassembly, repair, cleaning, and testing.
- Installs cabin interiors and related equipment according to specifications.
- Measures, marks, trims, and fits parts as needed.
- Fabricates and installs structural devices as required.
- Tests and reworks installations as necessary.
- Trains new employees and maintains training records.
- Maintains communication and resolves work-related issues.
- Tracks and logs time worked accurately.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical proficiency.
- Safe driving and operation of vehicles.
- Independent or supervised work ability.
- Flexibility to work various shifts.
Education and Experience
- 3-5 years of aircraft experience.
- Preferred: Repairman’s Certificate for Interiors and Related Structures.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and reaching.
- Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Equipment Operated
- Protective equipment: Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, apron, gloves, safety harness, breathing equipment.
Working Conditions
- Aircraft maintenance hangars, flightline, and Avionics shop.
- Potential hazards: High intensity noise levels, extreme temperature changes, electrical charges, radar waves, hazardous materials, moving machinery.
Other Duties
- May work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations.
