Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Architect / Job Captain to join our Interiors studio. This role is responsible for managing the technical development, coordination, and documentation of projects from design development through construction administration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical solutions and construction details in collaboration with the design team.
  • Prepare and manage drawing sets, 3D models, and design documentation in Revit, ensuring compliance with firm standards.
  • Absorb all project phases, from schematic design through construction administration.
  • Work independently when needed, executing tasks efficiently in the absence of the Project Architect/Designer.
  • Cook up coordination with consultants, engineers, and contractors to integrate design and technical elements.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, ADA regulations, and industry standards.
  • Align specifications with construction documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Organize and present project information to internal teams, consultants, and clients.
  • Absorb preparation and filing permit and construction documents, ensuring accuracy in coordination with senior staff.
  • Support the signing and sealing process for project documents.
  • Identify potential project challenges and escalate concerns to senior staff when necessary.
  • Support construction administration through project closeout.
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals, providing recommendations for action.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address potential issues.
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines across different project phases.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in architectural design and documentation.
  • US Registered Architect (or actively pursuing licensure) required.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit (required); experience with AutoCAD, 3D Modeling Software, Adobe Creative Suite, and Teams.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and project management tools (Newforma or Procore preferred).
  • Strong understanding of building codes, materials, and construction methods.
  • Experience coordinating MEP systems and other technical elements into project designs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Interest in mentorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • LEED accreditation or familiarity with sustainable design standards.
  • Experience in commercial, hospitality, or workplace design.
