About the role
This position is available for weekend shifts, specifically Friday-Sunday, 6am-6:30pm. The shift includes a 11.11% shift differential and a 3-day workweek.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for interior finish processes, including wood finishes of assigned aircraft, varying amounts of gloss and satin applications, and sanding of hardwood as needed to apply finish.
- Development and completion of aircraft interior cabinet finishes.
- Absorb and identify colors and color matches as needed.
- Apply basic knowledge of stains, lacquers, clear coats, and safety procedures.
- Master dry sanding and wet sanding techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of shop and surroundings.
- Perform maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
- Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Assist with major modification work as needed.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required.
- Experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each day.
- Pass a respirator fit test.
Qualifications
- Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine or related field.
- Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine or related field.
- Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine or related field.
- Master Tech: 6+ years’ experience in aviation interiors.
Skills
Basic knowledge of paints and spraying equipment, dry sanding, wet sanding, and safety procedures.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20-$35. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
Schedule
The weekend shift is Friday-Sunday, 6am-6:30pm.
