About the role
DNI Delaware Nation Industries seeks an Interior Designer with a security clearance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and eleven (11) years of related experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Knowledge of the full range of concepts, principles, and practices of interior design
- Working knowledge of engineering disciplines
- Commercial furniture industry knowledge
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications
- Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, Adobe Creative Suite
- Effective communication skills
- Expert technical advice on architectural systems and standards
- Solution recommendation for complex, technical architectural problems
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Interfacing effectively with other professionals during design and construction projects
- Evaluating and incorporating latest developments and technologies into current projects
- Ensuring new developments, methods, techniques, or experimental theories improve designs and standardize common facilities
- Examining and recommending solutions to problems not treatable by standard methods
- Coordinating work efforts, ensuring successful and cost-effective performance, and preventing duplication of efforts
Requirements
The following qualifications are essential:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Eleven (11) years of related experience
- Knowledge of Federal, Departmental, and Bureau contracting processes
- Experience using AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, Adobe Creative Suite
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Expertise in interpreting plans and specifications
- Understanding of mission, functions, and objectives of the Division, Office, Bureau, and Department
