Interior Designer
About the role
Pond is searching for an Interior Designer with 11+ years experience that leads the design and execution of complex interior projects across commercial, government, and hospitality sectors. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions with a strong emphasis on Revit-based production and compelling visual presentations.
Responsibilities
- Performs all responsibilities of Interior Designers I–III.
- Led projects from concept through construction administration.
- Develops creative design concepts, space plans, and finish selections aligned with client goals.
- Produces and oversees Revit documentation (plans, elevations, details, 3D views).
- Creates client-facing visual presentations (renderings, mood boards, finish palettes).
- Presents design solutions clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with codes, accessibility, and safety standards.
- Prepares specifications, material selections, and cost estimates.
- Supports bidding, negotiations, and construction administration activities.
- Conducts site visits and post-occupancy evaluations.
- Provides mentorship and quality control for junior staff.
- Maintains strong client relationships and delivers projects on time and within budget.
- May supervise and mentor Interior Designers and support staff.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field. 11+ years of experience, preferably in commercial, government, or hospitality design.
- Required Skills: Advanced Revit proficiency (required), Strong visual presentation and rendering skills (Enscape, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar), Expertise in space planning, materials, and FF&E selection, Knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards, Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Certifications: NCIDQ certification preferred.
- Software: Revit (required), Adobe Creative Suite preferred, Microsoft Office.
Supervisory Responsibilities
May supervise and mentor Interior Designers and support staff.
Work Environment / Physical Demands / Travel
Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional site visits. Must be able to use standard office equipment and travel as needed for project and client requirements.
