About the role
Simida Design is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer for a full-time, on-site position based in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior designers and project teams to conceptualize and develop interior design solutions
- Prepare construction drawings
- Select and order materials and furnishings
Qualifications
- Strong skills in design software such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SketchUp or other relevant tools to create realistic renderings
- Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection and specification
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines
Prerequisite
Prerequisite: 5+ years in architecture/interior design practice
