Job Overview
Saronic Technologies is seeking a function-minded Interior Designer to lead the design of their offices worldwide. The role emphasizes a commitment to functional aesthetic, blending visual elements with practicality.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from inception through completion, engaging in all phases of design and delivery, producing deliverables to be reviewed by both the Expansion team and the Design team.
- Develop and own a global interior design system, including a living standards guide covering color, materials, furniture, signage, and lighting, that maintains brand cohesion while allowing regional personalization.
- Create environments where aesthetics and utility reinforce each other, balancing aesthetic ambition with ergonomics, accessibility, sustainability, and code compliance.
- Produce end-to-end design projects from concept and mood boarding through procurement and installation, across Saronic's global offices, managing all project schedules, budgets, vendors, and work plans.
- Audit existing offices regularly for condition and standards compliance.
- Maintain an approved vendor and materials library to streamline future projects.
- Collaborate with Facilities to ensure designs are operationally practical.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional interior design experience, with a demonstrated portfolio of designing large scale commercial facilities.
- Experience designing or managing multi-site or global office environments.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and space-planning software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent).
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different time zones.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to translate design concepts clearly to non-design stakeholders.
- Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards (ADA and international equivalents), and safety regulations relevant to workplace environments.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional standing and walking within the office.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports.
- Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies.
- Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages).
