Interior Designer, 3-5 years

Responsibilities

  • Experience in each phase of project from programming through construction administration
  • Space planning and test-fit abilities
  • Aid in specification and detail drawing
  • Review and respond during construction administration; attend construction phase meetings when required; evaluate change orders, RFIs and submittals
  • Work with the project manager and the project lead designer(s) in creating interior environments which serve the client’s goals, image and aesthetic requirements
  • Select appropriate finish materials and furnishings
  • Develop presentation materials including 3D renderings
  • Cookordination of work with other disciplines
  • Execute and enhance the design intent while preparing the construction documents
  • Work with architecture and the engineering disciplines to ensure a consistent development of the project towards the design concepts established in earlier phases
  • Prepare furniture budgets
  • Develop project and furniture specifications and other technical requirements of projects
  • Prepare interiors and furniture punch lists

Requirements

  • Professional Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • 3-5 years of design and project experience
  • NCIDQ certified or working towards certification
  • Strong writing and organizational skills
  • Working proficiency in Revit
  • Rendering experience with Enscape or similar programs
  • Proficiency in Adobe suite software
  • Experience with AI-assisted design and productivity tools is preferred; willingness to learn and adopt new technologies is essential
