Interior Design - Sr. Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Define project goals, budgets, and timelines; coordinate with clients to confirm understanding and alignment.
• Negotiate contracts and understand contract language.
• Delegate responsibilities effectively, balancing independence and oversight for team members.
• Provide direction of client visualization to team members.
• Provide consistent updates to the Principal without prompting, staying proactive on potential issues and solutions.
• Take responsibility for resolving project challenges and ensuring team members are recognized for their successes.
• Able to listen and visualize the clients desired outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field (NCIDQ certification is a plus).
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years (SPM) of experience in project management, including a strong understanding of design, construction, and contract language.
• Skills: Proficiency in project planning, prioritization, cost management, client relations, and control software (CAD, Revit, Microsoft 365). Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Ability to work independently and with a team.

Requirements

• Professional Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing tasks, and handle client relations with professionalism.
• Physical: Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, maneuver in construction site environments, and sit or stand for extended periods.

Working Conditions

• Based primarily in an office setting, with regular travel to job sites and occasional extended hours.

Authority & Accountability

• Empowered by Leadership to manage project costs, represent the company with external stakeholders, train junior team members, and ensure all project-related decisions align with company standards.
• Responsible for meeting all project goals, with performance evaluated by your reporting Principal.
