Interior Design Coach

About the role

We are seeking an experienced interior design coach to work with clients looking to transform their living spaces, as well as aspiring designers looking to break into the field. This role includes helping clients with style discovery & exploration, mood board & concept development, color & material selection, and room layout & space planning, as well as lighting design and furniture & decor sourcing. Coaches also provide budget planning and renovation & remodel guidance for personal projects, while helping aspiring designers build their skills and navigate a career in the industry. Coaches support general exploration for clients still discovering their design goals or career direction.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with style discovery & exploration
• Create mood boards and develop concepts
• Select colors, materials, and furnishings
• Plan room layouts and space configurations
• Design lighting solutions
• Sourcing of furniture and decor
• Provide budget planning and renovation guidance
• Support aspiring designers in building their skills and navigating a career in the industry
• Support clients exploring their design goals or career direction

Requirements

• Hands-on interior design experience
• Prior coaching or consulting experience
• A clear, structured approach to helping clients bring their vision to life

Qualifications

• Education in interior design or related field
• Professional certification in interior design
• Experience working with clients on personal projects
• Ability to work independently and set one's own hours and rates
• Proficiency in virtual session hosting

Skills

• Strong visual communication skills
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to inspire and guide clients towards achieving their design goals
