Interim Worship Leader

Centennial Baptist Church in Rutledge, GA is seeking a part-time interim Worship Leader to provide consistent spiritual worship during a transitional period. We seek a worship leader with a shepherd’s heart focusing on genuine worship engagement to cultivate a warm, welcoming environment that blends traditional and contemporary worship music. Centennial Baptist Church believes that worship prepares our hearts to receive a Word from the Lord.

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Pastor and Church Leadership, the Worship Leader will guide the congregation in weekly worship services, blending spiritual leadership with practical coordination of music and audio-visual ministries.

Responsibilities

• Lead vocally and instrumentally during Sunday morning worship.
• Conduct weekly rehearsals to prepare the worship and AV team, ensuring musical quality.
• Select music and coordinate the order of service in conjunction with the interim Pastor.
• Prepare sermon and worship lyrics in ProPresenter prior to Sunday services.
• Recruit, train, and encourage volunteer musicians, vocalists, and AV team members.
• Collaborate with the Finance team to develop the annual budget for worship ministries.
• Prioritize maintenance and address needs for AV equipment.

Requirements

• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ with a humble and teachable spirit.
• Knowledge of basic Baptist Doctrine and agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Ability to work effectively with church staff, praise team, AV team, and congregation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with church ministries, particularly music ministries.
