Interim Senior Education Director
About the role
Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA) is a nationally recognized, multiethnic nonprofit organization serving refugee and immigrant women and their families across King County. Through culturally and linguistically responsive programs, including early learning, youth, and family services, ReWA supports communities in achieving stability, economic independence, and long-term success. ReWA’s Early Learning programs are grounded in high quality, inclusive educational practices that promote strong outcomes for children and families.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands on mentorship and coaching to program managers, supporting leadership development and team effectiveness
- Closely partner with leadership to support day to day program operations across multiple early learning sites
- Lead and support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding efforts, including staffing for new centers and current vacancies
- Serve as a trusted partner to the Executive Director and leadership team, offering guidance on operations, staffing, and program effectiveness
- Collaborate with leadership on enrollment strategies to help programs reach capacity
- Observe program operations and offer practical, real-time recommendations for improvement
Requirements
- Senior leadership experience in early childhood education or a related field
- Experience supporting multi-site programs and leadership teams
- Strong background in hiring, onboarding, and team development
- Demonstrated ability to step into organizations during transition and provide hands on operational support
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and coach leaders effectively
- Knowledge of Washington State early learning systems (preferred)

Pay
$62.50-$82.00 per hour. This represents the full range the organization reasonably expects to pay for this role. This is a temporary, interim assignment, and no additional employer-sponsored benefits (e.g., medical, dental, retirement) are provided for this short-term role.
Schedule
This is a temporary role expected to last approximately 3 to 4 months, supporting the organization during a transition period and positioning the team for long term success. Employment is at will and may end earlier or extend based on organizational needs.
