Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to join their team as a key member of the Accounting and Finance Department. You will partner closely with the Controller, CFO, and FP&A teams to support critical accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles by preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, analyzing financial results, and developing supporting reporting schedules.
- Manage and reconcile core accounting functions, including the general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, and accruals, while collaborating with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Produce timely and accurate financial statements and related analyses in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company standards, while supporting reporting needs for leadership, lenders, investors, and board stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with the Controller to enhance internal control processes, support compliance and SOX-readiness efforts, maintain accounting policy documentation, and assist with audit and technical accounting initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline accounting operations, optimize ERP systems, leverage automation and emerging technologies, and improve the overall efficiency and scalability of financial reporting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and best practice process experience.
- Manufacturing accounting experience required, including exposure to inventory and standard cost accounting.
- CPA designation preferred and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP technical accounting principles highly desired.
- Experience supporting ERP optimization, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration within a growing organization.

Pay
$55+/hour (W2, based on experience).
Schedule
Hybrid – Austin, TX (3 days/week onsite). 3+ month contract with potential for extension.
