Interim Manager, Radiology

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Radiologist and VP of Ancillary Services, manage the delivery of Diagnostic Imaging Services.
• Coordinate department operations in accordance with department policies and procedures, reporting to the Director of Imaging Services.
• Work closely with the PACS Administrator, Samaritan Imaging Center, and other supervisory and professional staff to ensure appropriate workflow, adherence to department information systems utilization, and patient safety and security.
• Maintain quality assurance, appropriate utilization of technology, and ensure staff are appropriately trained, observed, monitored, and evaluated in a timely and proficient manner.
• Provide input for operational planning.
• Oversee patient care in Imaging, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance for all patient populations served.
• Participate in quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), performance improvement, and regulatory readiness activities.
• Maintain knowledge of downtime procedures and collaborate with staff and other departments to ensure continuity of operations and patient care during system or equipment outages.
• Promote staff development through education, coaching, and consistent application of departmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Support a culture of teamwork, accountability, patient-centered care, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• BLS - Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
• LA City Fire Card (required for PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital only) – must be obtained within 6 months

Qualifications

• Preferred: CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist with Fluoroscopy
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
• Required Experience: 3-5 years of Imaging experience in an Acute Care setting
• Required Experience: 3 years of progressive leadership experience in an acute care setting with responsibility for workforce, operations, quality and performance outcomes

Pay

Salary range: $57.93–$90.00
