Interim Manager Emergency Department
About the Role
An Interim Manager Emergency Department is needed to provide stable leadership during a period of transition while supporting daily operations, workforce development, and quality initiatives within a busy emergency department. Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services, this leader will oversee 65 FTEs.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading daily department operations
- Supporting workforce stabilization through onboarding and mentoring new graduate nurses
- Improving employee engagement and retention
- Driving sepsis performance initiatives
- Preparing the department for an upcoming DNV survey
Requirements
- BSN required; Master's preferred
- Active RN or Compact license required
- Must have progressive emergency department leadership experience
- Experience leading high-volume emergency departments, supporting staff development, and preparing for DNV surveys preferred
- Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance

The ideal candidate will have extensive emergency department leadership experience with a proven ability to lead through organizational change, build strong relationships with staff and physicians, improve employee engagement, and establish sustainable operational processes. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.

Pay
Compensation Range: $160,000 to $175,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation.
