Interim Executive Director of PARC Center

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations regarding appropriate research projects to meet PARC and NBCC priorities
• Review and oversee PARC research projects, assessing operational and logistical needs and providing guidance to ensure the successful identification of appropriate projects and completion of these projects
• Identify and outline the recommended steps to complete the contractual obligations and objectives of existing PARC research projects
• Aid in developing education for researchers to support the creation of Research Briefs, helping researchers communicate their findings clearly and accessibly to the counseling profession, policymakers, and the general public
• Offer strategic direction and informed decision-making support to organizational leadership
• Represent PARC with the Professional Counseling Leadership Coalition (PCLC), attending scheduled, site-based PCLC meetings as designated by the NBCC President-CEO to ensure appropriate representation
• Attend relevant congressional and other professional meetings on behalf of PARC, as designated by the NBCC President-CEO, provided no conflicts of interest
• Collaborate with internal organizational departments, including Communications and IT, to develop and produce communications, resources, web content, and other PARC materials, such as recommending revisions to the PARC website to enhance its relevance to researchers and counseling professionals
• Collaborate with the government and legislative affairs team to advance the existing research agenda in support of legislative priorities and professional community engagement
• Provide consultation and support to external professional partners for contracted research projects and initiatives
• Participate in all meetings scheduled by the NBCC President-CEO or other authorized NBCC representative(s) related to PARC projects or activities, or the Services related to this Agreement
• Perform all other duties as appropriate and necessary for advancing PARC priorities and fulfilling the organization’s NBCC mission and purpose
• Perform all services, acts, and functions reasonably necessary, advisable, or otherwise appropriate to perform the services, consistent with this Agreement and any direction or instruction from the NBCC President-CEO or other authorized NBCC representative
