Interim Director of Finance

We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of Finance to support a healthcare facility during a leadership transition. This high-impact role will partner closely with executive leadership and serve as the primary finance liaison between the facility and a centralized accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of accounting expertise, financial analysis, and healthcare operations experience.

Interim contract travel assignment with an estimated duration of 3 to 6 months. Onsite position with travel flexibility available. Target start date in August.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between the facility and centralized accounting operations
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, missing accruals, transaction issues, and classification errors
• Support accounts payable issue resolution and ensure timely provider payments
• Assist the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly operating reviews
• Prepare and analyze workforce management, labor productivity, and operational reports
• Monitor key performance indicators and departmental operating statistics
• Analyze general ledger activity and identify mapping or posting errors
• Support monthly financial reporting and management reporting processes
• Assist with automation and process improvement initiatives within financial reporting systems
• Partner with operational leaders to improve financial visibility and decision-making

Requirements

• Healthcare facility finance experience required
• Strong accounting and financial analysis background
• Oracle Fusion experience highly preferred
• Experience with workforce productivity reporting, labor analysis, and operational metrics preferred
